O dia 10 de setembro foi escolhido em 2003, pela OMS, como uma data para chamar a aten\u00e7\u00e3o para a quest\u00e3o do suic\u00eddio. A organiza\u00e7\u00e3o observou a necessidade de desenvolver uma estrat\u00e9gia que abordasse o tema sem o tabu envolvido, fomentando a informa\u00e7\u00e3o e a consciencializa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Problemas de caracter emocional, o stress, a depress\u00e3o (reconhecida pela OMS como a doen\u00e7a do s\u00e9culo), o uso descontrolado do \u00e1lcool e subst\u00e2ncias, os per\u00edodos alargados de confinamento, entre outros, trouxeram novos desafios \u00e0 manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade mental. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Quem se suicida n\u00e3o quer desistir de viver, mas sim se livrar da dor e dos problemas para os quais n\u00e3o encontra uma sa\u00edda.
